Introducing Rotala's New Business Venture - Storagely
From buses to containers… Storagely Self Storage is born out of business diversification.
During 2025, We introduced a new company into the Rotala family - Storagely Ltd, A Self Storage Business.
Until now, the Rotala Group has had its roots firmly planted in the passenger transport industry. However since the change-over from a Plc to a Ltd company, the new board of directors had been looking for opportunities to diversify its business model. A logical decision was made, to capitalise on existing land owned by the group, which was no longer required for bus or coach purposes and the journey to Storagely began.
Currently operating two self-storage container sites in Dudley and Preston, Storagely uses former bus storage land adjacent to our existing bus depots. Both sites have benefited from sharing resources and existing Rotala personnel skills to get them up and running quickly. The business has invested to develop these sites with architectural plans, planning permissions and the installation of quality containers, CCTV, lighting and electronic gated access, to provide a secure and professional storage solution to members of the public and local businesses.
Even though the Storagely business is still within its first few months of trading, we have already achieved a great success, with the Preston site being fully booked and bookings for the larger Dudley site gaining momentum.
Storagely, represents the vision of the Rotala board to develop a strong and versatile business that can meet the challenges of a changing market and can grow through innovation and investment.
